This Is Reno was founded in 2009 and is the only locally owned, independent news source in the greater Reno market. They provide daily, award-winning news and are frequent news breakers, often covering what other media outlets do not.

Challenge

This Is Reno is staffed by a group of passionate part-time journalists wearing many hats. Their time is dedicated to creating award-winning journalism which leaves little time for them to promote the brand and manage advertiser accounts.

Also in keeping with independent journalism ideals, it is a best practice to keep the reporting and advertising sides of the house separate.
