Drug Use Prevention Program Making a Lasting Impact
The Drug Store Project is South Lake Tahoe’s largest collaborative drug prevention effort, educating 6th-grade students through a powerful, immersive experience. With over 45 participating agencies and 225 volunteers, the program takes place annually at the Lake Tahoe Community College and serves students from both California and Nevada schools.
This fun, meaningful, and deeply impactful branding and media project was completed for The Drug Store Project, a program of the El Dorado Community Foundation.
Challenge
Despite nearly two decades of operation and community impact, The Drug Store Project had never officially developed brand identity or online presence.
The organization was in need of a modern, kid-friendly logo, a cohesive color palette, and a functional website to promote its mission, support fundraising efforts, and host educational resources.
In addition, the client identified a need for an impressive sizzle video to express the spirit of the program to its target audience and clearly communicate its effectiveness to potential sponsors, parents, and new communities.
Solution
Our team worked closely with Lisa and her stakeholders to define a brand direction that was vibrant, approachable, and appropriate for a pre-teen audience.
We designed a clean and colorful logo, laying the foundation for all visual identity moving forward. Subsequently we delivered a one-page website—the perfect solution for a nonprofit looking to communicate professionally and effectively while honoring their budgetary priorities.
To complement the new visual brand, we produced a sizzle reel to help summarize the experience and mission of The Drug Store Project. By combining voice-over narration with engaging visuals from the event and previous video content, we created a dynamic collateral that can be used in presentations, social media, and outreach campaigns.
